Preparing Photos to use in Everview website
You may use any of the following methods to prepare your photos for upload:
- Scan your images with a scanner
- Take picture of the photo using digital camera
- Use a third party photo scanning service
Everview only handles image files that are digitally formatted.
In order to upload your aged photos, you must be able to read them on your computer.
Please read the following tips to get the best result:
Use scanner
If you have a scanner, this might be the fastest solution for you. Please use a 400dpi or higher resolution for best results.
Then please remove the blank margin space as margins will affect the result. Also, please scan only one photo at a time (one photo per file).
Take Picture of the Photo using Digital Camera
Use digital camera to take picture of the aged photo. Use a camera with a 3 megapixel or higher setting to get the best result.
Also please try not leave any space around the picture as it may affect the result.
Use Third Party Photo Scanning Service
There are some photo scanning service (such as ScanMyPhotos.com or ScanCafe) that can help you convert your photos into digital format.
Please visit these websites for more detail.
Technical Issues
What is the maxmum size of the image can be converted?
If conversion is possibel or not depends on the picture size (in pixels) rather than the file size (in MB).
Our test result show the maximum picture size that can be converted is 2500px by 1875px.
However this maximum picture size takes too much time to convert, we have set the maximum picture size you can use for this service to be 1600px by 1200px.
